About Our Founder
Tom Spital has a diverse and extensive background in technical direction, event management and
production stage management, in corporate theatre, legitimate theatre, and dance.
​
After graduating from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, he has toured extensively both domestically and internationally with such noted dance companies as The Joffrey Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Jennifer Muller/Works and The Bolshoi Ballet. A proud member of Actor’s Equity Association (AEA) for over 30 years, Tom has worked in theaters all over the world and has served as Director of Production at the World-Famous Apollo Theatre.

For the last 25 years, Tom has concentrated on corporate theatre, serving as producer, technical director and stage manager for a myriad of projects, both domestic and international.
When the pandemic hit, Tom saw a need to figure out how we can all safely, begin to do live events again. He read voraciously about all the new compliance protocols and began to get compliance specific training.

Tom is OSHA-30 certified and is a member of the Event Safety Alliance (ESA). He has completed courses in COVID-19 Compliance Officer (CCO) training and Pandemic Compliance Advisor (PCA) training (Health Education Services). He has also completed a Contact Tracing course (John Hopkins University).

As founder of Get Back Onsite, he’s leading the way in COVID-19 Compliance Guidance for production in the live events industry.

A proud father and grandfather, Tom resides in Littleton, CO.
